Anthropic released Fable 5.1 — cache reads got 4x cheaper
Cache reads dropped from $1 to $0.25 per million tokens: minus 25% on the bill for normal tasks, up to 45% for agentic ones. They also lifted some restrictions — the model is back to hunting for vulnerabilities for defensive research.
OpenAI will cut Cursor off from its models
After SpaceX bought the editor for $60 billion, OpenAI tore up the contract: starting November 12, its models won't be in Cursor anymore. The reason — Musk's companies had already violated the terms of their agreements before.
World Labs unveiled Atlas — a world model
Fei-Fei Li's startup (the Stanford professor who founded World Labs) packed text, images, video, and 3D into one model. Atlas reconstructs a scene from two or three photos, generates minute-long clips at 1440p, and produces 360° panoramas.
