Chinese robotics company Unitree demonstrated a humanoid robot running at 36 km/h (10 m/s). For reference — Usain Bolt's peak speed was 44 km/h. The gap between robots and humans is closing fast.

Unitree is one of the leading humanoid robotics companies in China. Their H1 model could already walk and climb stairs, but this new speed record is a different league entirely. The robot isn't just running — it's maintaining balance at high speed, which requires an advanced real-time control system.

For context: the average human jogging speed is about 8–10 km/h, a professional sprinter runs at 30–37 km/h. Unitree's robot is already in sprinter territory.

You won't be able to outrun them.
