What it is
Muse Spark is Meta's new flagship AI model, built from scratch and positioned as the company's first step toward building true superintelligence.
How it works
— The model was designed as natively multimodal from the ground up (capable of understanding and connecting text, images, and other data formats simultaneously).
— The neural network can build visual reasoning chains and use third-party tools to solve problems.
— The architecture allows it to coordinate multiple AI agents working in parallel.
— According to internal benchmarks, the model competes with market leaders in reasoning, while consuming significantly less compute than previous generations.
Where you'll find it
Already powering the Meta AI assistant. It'll roll out across the company's full ecosystem in the coming weeks: WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, and the branded smart glasses.
One thing to note
The benchmarks are impressive, but the company is upfront about it: Muse Spark still has notable “gaps” in writing complex code and fully autonomous agentic tasks.
