Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Microsoft's Copilot are all down. The circle of broken services — and the regions where they're unavailable — keeps expanding.

What happened

As of April 20, 2026 (18:06 CEST), the global AI outage is ongoing: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Copilot are unavailable to thousands of users worldwide, with complaint spikes on Downdetector. DownForAI monitoring has been tracking the incident since 15:00 UTC.

LADbible (major British outlet) reported:
