Anthropic launched a Reflect feature in beta. It grew out of interviews with 81,000 users who weren't sure how much AI was the right amount in their lives. Reflect pulls stats from your chats over the past month, three months, six months, or a year and shows which topics and tasks eat your time — and when you're in Claude the most.
Reflect periodically surfaces questions like "What do you want to keep doing yourself, even if Claude can do it faster?" and offers to talk them through with Claude directly. You can also set quiet hours and a nudge to take a break.
Incognito chats and files from connected services are off-limits. Sensitive conversations only show up at a high level. Works on all plans as long as Memory is turned on.
Why it matters
Anthropicis building a reflection tool directly into the product — not a toggle buried in settings, but a real analytics screen with questions about what you actually value doing yourself. Given the conversation around self-control as the defining AI skill, this is a notable move toward intentional AI use.
