The Information reports that Anthropic is prepping a new Claude Opus 4.7 model, and alongside it they're shipping their own vibe coding tool.

Based on leaks, the team is building a direct competitor to the Swedish startup Lovable (who have already scaled to $400M ARR generating apps from prompts). Screenshots have surfaced: it'll be a slick in-chat builder where you just describe your idea in text and the AI assembles a ready-to-go app — whether that's an AI chatbot, a landing page, or a gallery. Basically, you'll be able to ship projects on pure vibes, without ever opening a code editor.

And the main thing — powering all of this under the hood will be the new flagship Opus 4.7 (lines mentioning it have already been spotted in leaked code). Given that the current Opus 4.6 with its deep reasoning has become an absolute must-have for complex agentic tasks, paired with a native visual builder this could be something really serious.

Twitter is already joking about what the Lovable CEO's face looked like when he found out that the company behind the main model powering his service is about to launch his direct competitor.

The era of "write me a Python script" is fully mutating into "build me a production-ready SaaS while I grab a coffee." Waiting for the official launch. Coming soon!
