Claude Fable 5 is now available on claude.ai.
From the technical report: the model is twice the price of Opus, but even at low reasoning settings it consistently outperforms it.
Why it matters
Opus was Anthropic's previous flagship — the benchmark for tasks requiring maximum accuracy. Fable 5 beating it even at low reasoning means this is a structurally stronger model, not just one that "thinks longer." The price is double that of Opus.
